>>  The Government have responded to the Empty Property Rate Relief Consultation.  For more information please click here.
 
>> The new Rating (Empty Properties) Act 2007 received Royal Assent on 19th July 2007 – click here for a copy of the act. The detailed provisions will follow in statutory instruments, after the consultation period ends in October.
 
>> Following a very speedy passage through parliament, the Rating (Empty Properties) Bill is now awaiting Royal Assent which is expected to be given on 19th July 2007.
